Danish Film on Disfellowshipped JW GirlWorlds Apart
The Danish film, Worlds Apart to be featured at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival tells the story of a devout Jehovah's Witness girl who falls for a worldly man and finds herself disfellowshipped and shunned by her family and friends. Does the latter sound familiar? See the film information and synopsis.
For those in the area that can go see the movie, we hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a rare film that speaks directly to our experiences as Jehovah's Witnesses.
Our Site in Portuguese
We announce the launching of our site in Portuguese. We are still looking for volunteers that can help translating the site into French. We have some of it already translated, but we still need volunteers who can help. You don't need to take on the entire site translation.

Amazing Response from Our Spanish Readers
As soon as we launched our site in Spanish, we started receiving lots of emails from the Spanish-speaking community. We have received emails from Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Greece (yes, in Spanish), and many other countries. The stories and experiences that we receive are incredible (in a good way, of course). Of course, we also receive hate male from some probably well intended active JW's, yet, compared to the volume of emails we receive from people needing support, asking for information, or just needing to express themselves freely, the amount of hate mail is minimal.
Our mailing list in Spanish is growing exponentially. We already have over 300 email addresses in our list (in less than a year!) mostly from people sharing their stories and happy to find that they are not alone. Also, we are in conversations with a volunteer who is interested in starting an ACB chapter in Madrid, Spain.
Out of the overwhelming amount of stories that we receive, we decided to publish Víctor's Story. We hope that people can identify and benefit from his experiences, and also increase their awareness that they are not alone in this world. Read Victor's Story.
Ongoing
Some of our chapters meet regularly, some don't. Please visit our meetings page for information on an ACB chapter in your area.
